New revision for aLIGO. We have decided to scrap the Mass Spacers that had been designed to be clamped between Adjustment Masses stacked on the sides of Stage 1. Instead, we have removed material from the center of the interface surfaces of the Masses, in an effort to force contact further from the Masses' centerline. This should increase the contact stiffness of the Mass stacks attached to the Stage Walls and Keel, thereby driving any local eigenmodes of the Masses rocking on the Walls/Keel to higher frequencies.
