Abstract:

This amplifier is based on an Analog Devices Inc. application note as shown in the SSM2220 datasheet, and a design completed by F. Seifert in 2007.

The amplifier has an input referred noise of ~0.3nV/rtHz, and is suitable for low source impedance ( ~1k ohm) applications such as the TCS ISS HgCdTe photodiode.

Looking at this design with fresh eyes, it looks as though Q1 is put in backwards (flipped emitter and collector). Also some of the component values look a bit suspect. R2 should be smaller like around 82 ohms, and R11 should be 150 ohms with 0.01uF for C5
