- Playing card CO2 mask orientation guide. When placed in the CO2 projector and used to heat the test mass, the resulting thermal lens is unambiguous in terms of direction. There are no symmetries in this mask so it can be used to unambiguously determine the orientation of the CO2 heat pattern relative to the HWS orientation.
