Abstract:

We know that Liquinox will etch a coated surface when used at 40 degrees C with a 25% solution for 15 minutes.

More time, higher temp, or higher concentration accelerates the etch.

We recommend using First contact (E1000079). If a stain is resistant or an optic has a ground glass bevel then a Liquinox cleaning following the procedure in E000007 may be used.
