Abstract:

This is a brief presentation describing runit, a POSIX daemon/service monitoring and control system. runit is simple, small, and handles all service control and monitoring, including all log writing and rotation. It makes writing daemons and services almost trivial. This was presented to DASWG on February 25, 2009.
