- Massive star core-collapse is one of the most energetic events in the universe. They can liberate tremendous amounts of energy in electromagnetic and gravitational waves, and neutrino emission. I review the results from recent multi-dimensional numerical simulations, focusing on the gravitational wave and neutrino signals from core collapse, bounce, protoneutron star oscillations, and subsequent collapse to black hole.
