Parameter estimation for the binary black hole merger GW150914

On September 14, 2015, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) detected a gravitational-wave transient (GW150914). In this talk I present the inferred properties of the source, showing that it corresponds to a nearly equal mass binary black binary that merges to form a final black hole of approximately 62 solar masses.
