- Science communication is vital for advancing scientific research. Actively engaging in science
communication and outreach is essential for the accurate dissemination of information to the
scientific community and the general public. Interacting directly with the public gives scientists
the opportunity to communicate both their knowledge and passion for their field. Expressing
your passion through outreach allows you to inspire future generations to pursue their curiosity
and see themselves in a STEM related field.
In this session, we discuss opportunities to get involved in science communication throughout
both your education and career. We will focus on strategies to deliver clear explanations of
high-level topics, and provide you with a toolkit of ideas to utilize in the future.
