Abstract:

The advanced LIGO Timing RF Counter/Comparator Module is a modified version of the Timing Comparator Module (see D070568 for all versions), which was designed
to find the time difference between an input 1PPS pulse and a reference pulse. By modifying the
Comparator daughter board and FPGA software, we enable the device to count the number of RF frequency
cycles that arrive between two 1PPS spikes. This gives the frequency of the input RF signal.
