Notes and Changes:
a) The intent of stating "absolutely no mold release agent allowed" in the section entitled "material" is that no mold release agent is to be mixed into the material. This is made explicit in -v2.
b) The intent of stating "the use of mold release agent(s) of any kind should be avoided if at all possible. If mold release is absolutely necesary, a water soluble type is required." in the section entitled "molding" is that a water soluble mold release agent can be put onto the mold surface -- not in the material -- and only if absolutely necessary. This is explicitly stated in -v2.
c) -v1 allows nitrile gloves. Nitrile gloves were used in initial LIGO. We have since preferred latex gloves (see M990034-C/v1) since they are less susceptible to attack by the solvents that we use in cleaning.
d) -v1 permits "food grade aluminum foil" at early steps in the processing. Food grade permits oil on the foil. We should just stipulate UHV grade for all steps.
