Detector Characterization during a time of GEO GLORY!

Abstract:

During the time of the LIGO/VIRGO "Dark Ages," we at GEO will be pouring our glory into that void with the ongoing GEO-HF upgrade that may someday surpass all previous detectors above 1kHz. If anything is to become of this single interferometer data, we need to carry out some serious detector characterization work to either get rid of or understand glitches. We invite interested members of the community to play a role in this work. Also illustrated here is the need to start early as detector characterization is an essential part of commissioning!
