Abstract:

A slide prepared for the Joint Run Planning Meeting, Dec. 19, 2013. The slide illustrates in very simple form the data and control paths used in the aLIGO DAQ system for the Guardian supervisory script engine and the Online Detector Characterization system. The Guardian system controls the IFO states and provides a low time resolution (~1 sec) state vector. The ODC system collects data from the front-end systems and creates a high time resolution (~1 msec - 10 msec) description of the sub-systems' state.
