Abstract:
The low-mass x-ray binary (LMXB) Scorpius X-1 is one of the most promising potential sources of continuous gravitational waves (GWs) which may be observed by the generation of GW detectors which has begun operation this year with the first Advanced LIGO observing run. A variety of methods have been proposed and implemented to search for Sco X-1. I will describe the status and results to date of a series of mock data chellenges designed to compare the performance of these methods on advanced detector data.
