Conference abstract:

The Advanced LIGO project, which operates a pair of ultra-high strain sensitivity gravitational wave detectors, has just started its first observation run with newly upgraded detectors. This presentation will cover the overall design of the new detectors, with a focus on the digital control system that keeps the instrument at peak sensitivity.
