Abstract:

A hybrid design for the Arm Cavity Baffle (ACB) is proposed, in which plates of black glass are attached to the existing ACB “W skin” to cover the stainless steel (SS) surface of the louvers; the only modification to the SS skin is to add several clearance holds for attachment bolts. In order to hide all bolt heads, it will be necessary to epoxy several mounting studs to the back side of the black glass plates.
A new blade spring may be needed to suspend the heavier baffle.
