Abstract:

This document describes an upgrade of the interferometer simulation tool Finesse. With the release of Finesse version 1.1 on 04/11/2013, the modelling of so-called ‘sidebands of sidebands’ has been improved. To simulate these objects in previous versions of Finesse, one had to use a series of workarounds, as documented in a note by Keita Kawabe. Although the note still provides a useful introduction to the topic, the workarounds described there are no longer necessary.
