Abstract:

The purpose of the MDC Generation Package is to produce simulated data to prepare the data analysis and science with the future generations of gravitational-wave experiments, such as Advanced LIGO-Virgo or Einstein Telescope. The end product are the time series of the detector outputs, arising both from the instrumental noise and from the GW signal.
We follow the procedure developed for the first ET-MDC (Regimbau et al. 2012), extending it to a large range of sources and models. In this document, we describe the structure of the MDC Generation Package, and explain how to produce simulated data samples.
