Abstract:

I am continuing to develop a process where a Nikon D7100 with an AF Micro Nikkor 200mm 1:4 D lens can be remotely controlled to take images of the optics in Advanced LIGO. I am also writing code to process the images in MATLAB utilizing MATLAB’s Image Processing Toolbox. The program counts the number of particles and measures their various sizes, providing accurate and immediate information about the contamination on the optics.
