Abstract:
Currently, there is a laser of wavelength 1064 nm whose wavelength needs to be converted to 2128 nm for the third-generation LIGO design. Our goal for this project is to characterize the frequency noise associated with the frequency conversion process. We will also investigate the noise sources that impact the output frequency created by the DOPO. Finally, we aim to develop a noise elimination system to make the conversion process as effective as possible.
