The search for Vela pulsar in Virgo VSR1 data

Abstract:

We present the status of the analysis of VSR1 data for the search of gravitational wave signals from the Vela pulsar.
Two kinds of analysis are discussed: one over the full VSR1 data set and the other over the time interval 2007 August 26 - 2007 September 5 for which updated Vela ephemeris have been used, thus allowing to take into account the pulsar timing noise.
For comparison and test purposes the application of the analysis pipeline to recent (pre-VSR2) Virgo Weekly Science Runs and LIGO S5 data for Vela and Crab pulsars is also discussed.
