Abstract:
FINESSE is a frequency domain modelling tool for optical experiments. It is free and open source, released under the GPL license. FINESSE and its Python wrapper PyKat are used in commissioning and design of gravitational wave detectors. We have recently enabled for parametric instability modelling using FINESSE, and this model has successfully been tested against first experimental results. In addition, we announce our new online Ipython Notebook course on gravitational wave laser interferometry, FINESSE and PyKat.
