v5 Revision following FDR Update. Merge of Conceptual, Preliminary and Final Design Documents
(LIGO-E1900377,LIGO-T2000582, and LIGO-T2200032) so that all the information
relevant to the final design of the BHD subsystem is gathered within the one document. Information
no longer applicable or directly relevant to the final design, but still of value for reference,
is moved to the Appendix.
Material relating to the noise introduced by wedges in the septum windows, and proposed
solutions to mitigate this effect, moved to the Appendix.
Material relating to the proposed solution to cancel the wedge in the OFI, and the consequent
need to rotate the SRM, moved to the Appendix.
Detailed material relating to long-term correction in drift of LO phase lock moved to the
Appendix.
Reordering of material so that it gives a better sense of the logical progression of the of
the design process.
